ISACA Sydney Chapter Celebrates 40th Anniversary with view towards the future of technology and business
Digital disruption will continue to be a major driver of business innovation. In conjunction with its 40th anniversary, the ISACA Sydney Chapter is holding a one-day Innovation Summit at Sofitel Wentworth 26 October 2016 to discuss the opportunities presented to businesses when adopting an innovative mindset and culture.
The conference will bring together leading industry experts who will present their latest thinking, research and practical experience to assist IT and business professionals with implementing and exploring innovative practices within their enterprises. Panel discussions will cover the emergence of blockchain and innovation in cyber security.
The ISACA Sydney Chapter became the first chapter founded outside of North America in 1976. The anniversary celebration will include a Gala Dinner on 27 October at Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf, where outstanding members in the IT security, risk, assurance and governance sectors will be recognised.
“For 40 years, ISACA Sydney has had a direct impact on peoples’ careers in auditing, governance, risk, and more recently cybersecurity,” said ISACA Sydney Chapter President Andy Bornhorst. “To commemorate the anniversary and say thank you to all the members who have made ISACA one of Australia’s leading professional IT organisations, we have brought together inspiring leaders to learn how best to drive innovation into the workplace, in order to survive the next wave of digital technology.”
Jost Stollmann, executive director and chief executive officer at Tyro Payments, will be the keynote speaker at the summit, discussing key innovation insights developed from his experience exponentially growing two very different organisations – CompuNet in Germany and Tyro Payments in Australia. Stollmann will also address how company culture drives success and innovation.
Other speakers include industry experts from leading companies and government agencies, such as PwC Australia, Qantas, Telstra, NSW Government, Macquarie Telecom Group and the Communications Alliance.
