of Degaussers and Hard Drive Destroyers in Australia.
Garner Products Inc. is a US based company who are the world leaders in data elimination solutions. They have designed, manufactured and sold degaussing products and services to users and manufacturers of magnetic media for over 53 years.

Organisations are still taking risks with discarded hard drives and digital media. An independent investigation funded by NAID, the National Association for Information Destruction, and released earlier this year, showed that of 52 used hard drives discarded by a number of Australian companies, it was still possible to retrieve confidential data from 90% of them – despite having been “erased” or “reformatted”.
This investigation recovered employee records, client information, court documents, payroll data, correspondence, outlook files, insurance policy application records, medical records and government correspondence from the hard drives, which had been discarded at the end of their life. It showed that in most cases, improper techniques were used to erase the hard drives. (Copy of Study can be provided on request).
