Gigamon Strengthens APAC Leadership with Key Appointments to Support Regional Growth

Gigamon has announced the appointment of two senior leaders to support growing demand for deep observability solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. David Land has joined the company as vice president of sales, APAC, while Nikolas Kalogirou has been appointed country manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Both will play key roles in accelerating Gigamon’s growth across a region increasingly focused on securing hybrid cloud environments.

Based in Sydney, Land will oversee sales and channel operations across the APAC region, reporting directly to Chief Revenue Officer John Giacomini. He brings more than two decades of enterprise sales and leadership experience, most recently serving as vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan at cybersecurity firm Fortra. Land is recognised for building high-performing sales teams and delivering strong revenue growth across complex regional markets.

Kalogirou, based in Melbourne, will report to Land in his new role as ANZ country manager. With more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology sales and cybersecurity, he has held senior roles at organisations including Recorded Future, BlackBerry, Cofense, and Fraudwatch International. His appointment reflects Gigamon’s commitment to strengthening customer and partner engagement in Australia and New Zealand.

The leadership appointments come as organisations across APAC face rising complexity and threats in an AI-driven digital landscape. According to the Gigamon 2024 Hybrid Cloud Security Survey, a large majority of security and IT leaders in the region now view deep observability as a foundational element of effective cloud security strategies.

“Welcoming David and Nik to the team reflects our deepening commitment to customers and partners across the fast-growing APAC region,” said John Giacomini, chief revenue officer at Gigamon. “Both are seasoned leaders with deep domain knowledge and local market insight, and I’m confident they will play a key role in advancing our growth strategy in the months and years ahead.”

The expanded APAC leadership team will focus on scaling Gigamon’s partner ecosystem, enhancing customer outcomes, and supporting adoption of the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline—a solution designed to help organisations secure and manage hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure by eliminating blind spots, optimising traffic, and improving tool efficiency by up to 90 percent.
