Shanna Daly, Principal Consultant, Cosive

Cado Security, provider of the first cloud forensics and incident response platform, today announced the appointment of Melbourne-headquartered Cosive as the company’s first channel partner in Australia.

Originally established in the UK and with operations in the US, the Cosive appointment will now accelerate Cado Security’s presence in the Asia Pacific with an on-the-ground Australian and New Zealand full-service sales, consulting, penetration testing, code review and technical support channel partner.

The Cado platform is at the forefront of innovation in the cloud security industry giving customers unique forensic-level visibility into their cloud, container and serverless environments, enabling them to respond to incidents at cloud speed. The company is already witnessing significant traction with enterprise organisations and aims to build on its recent investment round of US $20M to further drive innovation and global expansion.

“In the decade since I left the Australian Signals Directorate, the entire IT landscape has changed drastically. There’s been a rapid shift to the cloud which has introduced new threats, risks, and challenges,” said James Campbell, CEO and Co-founder, Cado Security. “For some time, security has struggled to keep up. Finally, we are seeing innovation in cloud-native tools specifically designed to address these new risks and challenges. In light of recent corporate security breaches, Australian businesses are now aware of the growing number of cloud-based threats and we hope to help provide opportunities to mitigate the associated increased risk.

“We are thrilled to sign on an expert partner that is able to support our regional growth and work with us to help organisations close the cloud incident response gap. Cado’s skill set and approach to cloud forensics is outstanding and we look forward to the positive impact that their technology and skills will have on customer cybersecurity practices and on our mutual business growth.”

Established in 2015, Cosive is expert in the use of threat intelligence and security orchestration and works with leading organisations across Australia and New Zealand to improve their security posture and support incident response.

“We do readiness support for security operations centres and provide tools for threat detections and response,” said Shanna Daly, Principal Consultant, Cosive. “The Cado Security platform was an obvious addition to our toolset for incident response given companies are moving to the cloud, workloads are going into the cloud, and there’s a gap when it comes to efficiently responding to cloud threats.

“We build successful relationships with clients to ensure that appropriate solutions are matched to client requirements. Our aim is to provide customer excellence so that the organisations we work with have the agility they need to embrace new technologies.

“We were attracted to Cado Security because of its feature-rich cloud forensics and incident response platform, and we are very excited to help Cado further enhance their product offering through customer feedback and experience gained by critical field deployments in this part of the world. We’re looking forward to a successful, long-term partnership.”

Cado Security supports partners with pre- and post-sales technical support, consulting, engineering and marketing resources to help them adapt and expand their business.
