The Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) is excited to announce the launch of a new one-stop-shop resource to help job seekers to explore security career opportunities and pathways – the ASIAL Security Careers Portal (www.asial.com.au/Careers).
Designed to promote career pathways in the protective and electronic security sectors, the portal is an invaluable guidance resource for job seekers, careers advisors and employment service providers.
Security professionals play a vital role as part of Australia’s national security mix. With over 200,000 personnel already working in the industry, forecast growth over the next three years is set to see this number increase further, creating thousands of exciting new career opportunities.
The ASIAL Security Careers Portal provides practical and helpful guidance material for job seekers, career advisors and employment services providers. The portal includes:
• 14 position descriptions of roles in the protective security sector covering rates of pay, entry qualifications, career progression, experience and skills required;
• 17 position descriptions of roles in the electronic security sector covering rates of pay, entry qualifications, career progression, experience and skills required;
• Licensing and training information;
• Short video overviews of the industry and career opportunities;
• Frequently asked questions.
