Jonathan Morgan is Vice President of global online security provider Akamai. He brings more than 25 years of marketing, technical, and management experience from across the mobile/fixed communications and semiconductor industries to his role with Akamai. Jonathan is responsible for products and operations. Prior to Akamai, Jonathan was at Cisco through the acquisition of Starent Networks. As Senior Director of Product Marketing at Starent Networks, he was responsible for all aspects of external product marketing for the company. Prior to Starent Networks, Jonathan was Vice President of Product Marketing for Tatara Systems responsible for all aspects of product marketing and product management. Jonathan has held numerous other management positions, including: Director of Product Management for Appian Communications and Senior Director of Product Marketing and Business Development at Fujitsu Network Communications. Earlier in his career, Jonathan spent 7 years at Bellcore in various organizations, including the SONET Requirements and Project Management Departments, in addition to his time with the semiconductor company TranSwitch. He holds a B.S.E.E. from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.S.E.E. from Rutgers University.
