Vix Vizion and Intel extend partnership across A/NZ

Australian video analytics company Vix Vizion, developers of the Imagus platform, have announced the growth of their partnership with Intel, officially moving to Intel ISV Gold Partner status.

The move comes on the back of consistent success running Vix Vizion’s Imagus platform on Intel CPUs, coupled with the rapid growth of Vix Vizion’s customer base, especially in the hospitality sector.

“We have cornered the Facial Recognition and biometrics market in South Australia, following the government’s decree that all licenced venues require a facial scanning solution in order to promote responsible gaming. Having captured well over 80 percent of the venues there, we have continued to expand in other states as well. As such our platform is seeing increased demand and our trusted partners like Intel are helping us meet that demand,” said Fraser Larcombe, product and partnerships manager at Vix Vizion.

Intel recognises the specialist work being conducted by innovative local companies such as Vix Vizion and supports their partners through the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) pathway. The membership includes advanced training, marketing resources and increased levels of support. Vix Vizion’s Imagus Facial Recognition platform will also now be featured in the storefront of the Intel® Solutions Marketplace and be coupled with lead generation tools.

Malcolm Hao Xian, IOT Ecosystem Partner Account Manager at Intel, said of the partnership: “When it comes to CPUs specialised for AI processing, Intel has made great strides and are the leaders in this domain. That forms the core of our partnership with Vix Vizion, enabling their Artificial Intelligence platform, ImagusFR. Leveraging the latest generation of Intel’s client and server grade CPU’s, Vix Vizion continues to be a strong leader in the Video Analytics market.”

The Imagus platform is wholly developed in Australia by Vix Vizion and has become a leader in the field of biometrics and AI-powered Facial Recognition. The company, based in Brisbane, has become widely known in the technology industry for not only competing successfully with big overseas vendors, but working closely with customers and technology partners to refine and improve their systems.

“We are extremely privileged to have our systems working on such innovative hardware. Intel is leading the way in ensuring that emerging technologies continue to develop and be widely available in the AI space,” continues Jim Christis, Chief Operating Officer at Vix Vizion. “It is amazing to see how much effort and time Intel invested in us, as a smaller Australian company. The support has been amazing across all aspects of our relationship, from development and engineering right through to marketing and sales.”
