Our guest speaker is Jason Brown, National Security Director for Thales. Jason was one of the original founders of International Security Officers Day working with George Chin to promote and drive this initiative out to countries across the Globe.
Now celebrated in countries such as the UK, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Thailand, Macau, India and Indonesia to name just a few, Jason explains what ISOD is? How it came about? Why you should celebrate it and how can you and get involved? Whether you run a security company, use security services or work in the industry, this is a day that the entire security industry should get behind and celebrate.

Jason Brown is the National Security Director for Thales in Australia and New Zealand. He is responsible for international trade and security liaison with government, law enforcement and intelligence communities to develop cooperative arrangements to minimise risk to Thales and those in the community that it supports. He is also responsible to ensure compliance with international and Commonwealth requirements for trade control, national security and relevant federal and state laws.
Jason holds Security Professional Chartered status in the UK and Registered Professional status with SPR-A. He was awarded the Australian Security Medal for Conspicuous Service in February 2011. In 2013 IFSEC International recognised him in the top 40 globally influential persons in Security and Fire Management.
