Gallagher’s cyber security tool wins Homeland Security Award

Gallagher is pleased to announce their innovative Security Health Check tool has won a platinum award for Best Cyber Security Risk Management at the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards. The ‘ASTORS’ honors cutting-edge and forward-thinking security solutions from the most distinguished vendors, in acknowledgement of their efforts to keep the United States secure.

An industry-first software utility, Security Health Check enables customers to run automated checks on their Gallagher Command Centre security system at any time. It identifies vulnerabilities within a security system, assesses the severity of the threat, and provides specific recommendations to mitigate the risk and ensure correct configuration. Security Health Check is free of charge to all Gallagher licensed customers.

“Gallagher is dedicated to developing cyber-secure solutions and working with our customers to help them secure their systems against potential attacks,” says Scott Elliot, Vice President, Americas, for Gallagher. “We’re honored to receive the Best Cyber Security Risk Management award which recognizes our work in this field.”

‘ASTORS’ nominations were evaluated on their technical innovation, interoperability, industry impact, relatability to other industry technologies, and application feasibility outside of the industry. The winners were announced at the AST 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Award Presentation Luncheon in New York City on 20 November.
