VIDEO REVIEW: AMS SECURITY DOOR

AMS security doorThe AMS security door is not your average door. The steel frame is constructed in an ‘H’ configuration that runs between floor and ceiling. The bottom of the frame is dyna-bolted to the floor slab. The adjustable legs at the top of the frame are then extended to the appropriate height for the building in which the frame is being installed, and then dyna-bolted to the underside of the ceiling slab creating a strong, rigid and extremely secure housing for the door.

Both the door and the frame are constructed from 3mm steel, which enables the creation of a fully welded, seamless joint into which the door can be recessed. The door can be fitted with a choice of laminated glass, ballistic glass or fire rate glass which is then wet-sealed into a welded glazing bead to ensure the door complies with SCEC requirements.

For additional security, the door features a full-length locker plate and a full-length hinge, both of which run the entire height of the door from top to bottom. As an added safety feature, the door can also, if required, be automated to enable the door to open automatically if disabled.

The door also features two full sized, SCEC endorsed mortice locks, a square bolt lock set above a latching lock, as well as the AMS dual lock lever handle designed to disengage and locks simultaneously with the one downward motion of the handle.
