Gigamon has cemented its leadership in the deep observability market, commanding 52 percent of global market share, according to new research from Frost & Sullivan. The findings come as organisations grapple with increasingly complex hybrid cloud environments and the rising security challenges posed by AI workloads.
Valued at $880 million in 2025, the deep observability market is projected to grow to $2.7 billion by 2029, reflecting a CAGR of 33 percent. The study highlights how traditional log-based security tools are falling short, with enterprises seeking more complete, real-time visibility across dynamic IT environments.
“AI is upping the ante for organisations, making complete visibility into all data in motion even more challenging,” said Shane Buckley, president and CEO of Gigamon. “Our customers are turning to network-derived telemetry to eliminate blind spots and better secure their cloud and hybrid environments.”
The research shows a significant uptake of deep observability solutions by large enterprises (5,000+ employees) and U.S. Federal Agencies, where Zero Trust mandates are driving adoption. Gigamon’s Deep Observability Pipeline was credited for delivering the rich telemetry modern security tools need to detect, respond to, and mitigate evolving cyber threats.
Frost & Sullivan defines deep observability as the delivery of network-derived telemetry to cloud, security, and observability tools—enhancing the traditional observability model. The 2025 Gigamon Hybrid Cloud Security Survey found that 89 percent of IT and security leaders consider deep observability foundational to cloud security.
“As hybrid environments scale and AI workloads proliferate, traditional perimeter-based tools can’t keep up,” said Vinay Biradar, associate director of cybersecurity advisory at Frost & Sullivan. “Gigamon stands out for enabling deep visibility and operational efficiency in this new paradigm.”
Key drivers of adoption include improved security posture, Zero Trust enforcement, cost optimisation, and compliance. With more organisations racing to modernise their tech stacks in the face of mounting threats, deep observability is quickly becoming a cornerstone of cybersecurity strategy.
